Hey, Dale Grusecki here coming to you from my home office in sunny Michigan today, how is it going today? Quick question for you, what do YOU have to bring to the table for your Business?

So you started a direct selling company as an affiliate, or you're trying to sell internet marketing products as an affiliate, or what have you, or you're selling Avon door to door. Whatever, doesn't matter. The question is, what do you have to bring to the table? Because most likely you've started something like this, and you have some skills, but you do not have all the skills you need.
So now you need to create a list, a good and a bad list basically.
The good list, what do you like to do? What are you good at right now? Those are going to be the easy things, they're just going to pop up on your head and you're going to jot them down really quick. Then we're going to take it one step further and find the things that you don't know what to do, and you need to know what to do.
Just like going back to school, this is like learning a new language for a lot of people. Internet marketing, network marketing, what have you. Let's look at the things, what do you know how to do well? What are you doing well now? You could be social butterfly, can talk to anybody, you have no problem interfacing with waiters, waitresses when you go out to eat. Some witty banter, whatever you're good at. You don't have a problem picking up a phone and talking to someone. I've done that before, I'll get a salesman calling me on the phone and I'll turn around and say, how long have you been doing this? I don't have a problem with talking to people and striking up a conversation, where are you from, what do you do, those are two of the easiest things. How long have you been doing this?
Couple things right there to help you get over that and talking to people. Maybe you're a tech guru. You know all about SEO and Facebook pixels, and retargeting, and all this other stuff, that's great. It's all stuff you're going to need to know, and you can start doing that right now and then learning the other things, as far as the personal things, to help you get more well-rounded. Try to keep it short when you create this list, figure out if you've got 3,4 good things that you can really start focusing on right now, basically, and learn the other things.
What are the other things you don't know how to do?
I'm afraid of the phone, oh my gosh, I've got a fear of the phone. Well the phone is going to be your friend, if you cannot pick up and use the phone for the leads that you're going to start to be getting once you get your SEO going and your Facebook pixels, your marketing on Twitter or Facebook or Instagram. Now you're going to get leads, you've got to pick up the phone. You have to pick up the phone and call these people. So that's one thing that you have to get over, the fear of using the phone. Or you could turn it around here and say, I'm non-tech, I'm a social butterfly, I can talk to just about anybody, but the best thing I know how to do is copy and paste. I can maneuver around the internet, no big deal, everybody can do that, just clicking around with a mouse or with your finger, but I don't know anything else.
That's okay, that's okay, because there's a lot of great training platforms out there that will show you how to do it. Many of them have really short videos that you can watch and will teach you how to do it, or they'll have a PDF document, here's the steps that you need to do, A, B, C, D, and then do it over, and if you've got to watch the video over and over and over, that's fine. That's why video is great. Much like this video here, it's like this thing's going to be around for a long time, and I'm not afraid of talking in the camera, because it's not going to be perfect, it's not going to be news broadcast worthy, but that's okay. I'm still getting my point across, and I'm getting the word out there to help people, much like newbies, I like helping newbies because we're all newbies at one time and had no clue on what to do next, so this is just a few things.
Make that list, the 3 or 4 things that you can do or accentuate and do right now, and start doing those things, and then create your other list of I need to learn how to do, set up my blog, I'd like to do a blog. Or I'd like to market on Twitter or Instagram or Facebook. What are the best ways to do that, how can I create a larger following on each of those platforms, how do I do that other than just adding one or two followers a time on a day? I want to create more to my list than that, basically.
Real quick, just wanted to share that tip with you today on creating your skill set and adding your skill set, so make your list, start doing the things that you know how to do right now, and go with that.
